Who we are

  • AlertNaija — operated by ALERTNAIJA DIGITAL SOLUTIONS
  • Business name registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria. BN 9517386.
  • Payments processed by Paystack — we don’t store your full card number

Why we use Paystack

  • Primary: AlertNaija Plus — in-app upgrades / subscription for enhanced safety features
  • Secondary (optional): Refundable Finder Reward — a one-time purchase when you want help pushing a find for your item
  • Core AlertNaija tools remain free without payment
  • Marketplace: users pay each other offline — not through AlertNaija or Paystack

1. AlertNaija Plus (core paid product)

  • Optional in-app upgrade for enhanced safety tools
  • Billed via Paystack Checkout / Subscriptions
  • Price and features shown in the app before you pay
  • Cancel anytime in Settings — access continues through the period already paid

2. Refundable Finder Reward (optional product)

A Finder Reward is simply a product we offer — like buying an optional add-on when you post a find. It is not a prepaid wallet and not an escrow deposit between you and a stranger.

  • When you post to find an item, you may optionally buy a Finder Reward
  • That reward amount is shown on the find/report so the community can see it
  • Our job: help push that find (community visibility) and, if a verified finder qualifies, fulfil the reward ourselves by paying them via Paystack Transfer
  • If we cannot fulfil within 30 days, you get a 100% Paystack refund to your original payment method (e.g. card)
  • You may also request a full refund earlier if you no longer need the find push
  • No cash-out, withdraw, or general wallet balance
  • Cap: max ₦50,000 per Finder Reward purchase
  • In app: Settings → Reward payments

Important: A Finder Reward does not guarantee recovery of your item. It guarantees either fulfilment of the posted reward to a verified finder, or a full refund if unfulfilled in time.

Simple workflows

Use case A — We fulfil

  1. Customer posts a find report and buys a Finder Reward (a product we offer) via Paystack Checkout
  2. Payment settles to AlertNaija (merchant); the reward amount is shown on the find/report
  3. We help push the find in the community
  4. A verified finder qualifies
  5. AlertNaija fulfils the reward by paying the finder via Paystack Transfer

Use case B — We refund

  1. Customer posts a find report and buys a Finder Reward (a product we offer) via Paystack Checkout
  2. Payment settles to AlertNaija (merchant); the reward amount is shown on the find/report
  3. No verified finder within 30 days (or customer cancels earlier)
  4. AlertNaija issues a 100% Paystack Refund to the customer’s original card/payment method

What we don’t offer

  • Prepaid / stored-value wallet for general spending
  • Cash-out or withdraw to a bank account
  • Marketplace checkout or custody of funds between buyers and sellers
  • Money transfer / remittance products
  • Crypto, forex, lending, or deposits

Paystack features we use

  • Checkout & Subscriptions — AlertNaija Plus (primary)
  • Checkout — Refundable Finder Reward purchases (secondary)
  • Transfers — fulfilling a reward to a verified finder
  • Refunds — 100% refund if unfulfilled (auto at 30 days or on request)

Refunds

  • Plus: cancel in Settings; partial refunds at our discretion unless law requires
  • Finder Reward: 100% refund via Paystack to the original payment method within 30 days if we cannot fulfil, or earlier on customer request
  • Errors: hello@alertnaija.com within 30 days + Paystack reference
