Does AlertNaija replace 112 or the police?
- No — call 112 (or your local emergency number) first in a life-threatening emergency
- AlertNaija is an extra community layer, not a dispatch service
- No guarantee that someone will respond
How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings → Profile → Delete account
- Can’t sign in? Use alertnaija.com/delete-account
- Email requests are processed within 30 days
What data do you collect?
- Account details, location (if allowed), and content you submit

- We do not sell your personal information
Is AlertNaija for children?
- No — you must be at least 13
- We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13
Is AlertNaija free?
- Yes for core tools: reporting, missing persons, lost & found, neighborhood listings
- Checking an IMEI or serial before you buy a used device is always free
- Optional paid: AlertNaija Plus (primary) and optional Refundable Finder Rewards

What does AlertNaija Plus include?
- Global alerts — incident notifications for any state or LGA you choose
- The phone & laptop registry: register devices you own and report one stolen
- Official watermarked PDF theft reports for police or insurers

- Live Paystack checkout for new subscriptions is pending final Paystack account activation
How does AlertNaija handle payments?
- Paystack’s primary intended use is AlertNaija Plus subscriptions / in-app upgrades
- Plus is implemented and visible; live checkout wires up once Paystack is fully activated
- Paystack may also process optional Refundable Finder Reward purchases
- Marketplace sales are between users — we don’t handle that payment

What is a Refundable Finder Reward?
- Optional product you buy when posting a find — payment is AlertNaija revenue for that service
- Current policy: pay 100% of the purchased amount to a verified tipster as service fulfilment
- If we cannot fulfil in 30 days, you get a 100% Paystack refund to your original card
- Not a prepaid wallet — no cash-out. Does not guarantee the item will be recovered
Does AlertNaija store my card details?
- No — Paystack handles checkout
- We only get amount, status, and payment reference
Will my reports be public?
- Many reports appear in a community feed for your area
- You can limit personal details as described in the app and Privacy Policy
How do you reduce abuse?
- Verification tiers and upload moderation
- Reporting tools, disputes, and audit logs
- Serious cases may be referred to authorities
