Former MD United Bank For Africa’s Mother (Tony Elumelu) – Kidnapped

Gunmen on Monday (today) kidnapped the mother of the former Group Managing Director of UBA Plc, Mr. Tony Elumelu, from her farm in Onicha-Ukwu, Delta State.
They seized her from her farm and took her to an unknown destination.

The spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, Mr. Charles Muka, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
Tony Elumelu is the chairman of Heirs Holdings, an African proprietary investment firm and founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation, an Africa-based and African-funded not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to the promotion and celebration of excellence in business leadership and entrepreneurship across Africa.
One of his siblings if Ndudi Elumelu,a member of the House of Representatives.
