1. The Senior Technical Officer (M&E), under the supervision of the Zonal Manager, and with technical oversight from the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, is responsible for the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation for the zonal office. S/he will work with others in the zonal office and local implementing partners to ensure that zonal rnonitonng and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • MBBS with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level M&E system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
  • MPH or MSc. in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level M&E system implementation for Global Health Initiatives,
  • BSc. in statistics, pharmacy, microbiology, M&E or other related degree with 7 to 9 years relevant experience in project-level or state/national-level M&E system implementation for Global Health Initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

2. The Technical Officer laboratory Services liaises with the Senior Technical Officer to provide technical support and implement high quality laboratory services for FHI 360 Nigeria programs.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BSc in Laboratory sciences or related field with 5-7 years post NYSC experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.
  • Or Master degree in Laboratory sciences or related field with 3-5 years post NYSC experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.
  • Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development area preferred.
  • Certification of license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist is required, Experience in Laboratory TB services is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs highly desirable,

3. The Senior Technical Officer (Logistics) will assist in the development of FHI 360s in-house capacity among the various departments, implementing agencies and all tiers of govemment in all aspects of distribution and warehousing of health commodities. S/he will provide technical support and leadership to Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen the supply chain process of health commodities, using the LAMIS supply chain management information system, to reduce stock-outs, lower costs and eliminate wastage.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • MBBS with 3 to 5 years post NYSC experience with at least 3 years progressive experience in managing a PSM cycle, including rational health commodities selection, forecasting/quantification, quality assurance spanning the PSM cycle, warehousing/storage, distribution, and LAMIS.
  • Or MPH or MSc. in relevant degree with 5 to7 years post NYSC experience with at least 3 years progressive experience as above
  • Or BSc, in logistics, pharmacy or relevant field with 7 to 9 years relevant post NYSC experience as above.
  • Familarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

4. The Senior Technical Officer Clinical Services (PMTCT) will provide technical and programmatic leadership and support to Integrated Maternal Newborn & Child Health (IMNCH) strategies and approaches related to implementation of high quality care and support activities. The basic responsibility is to provide project management and technical advice on maternal and child health, with primary focus on PMTCT and technical support on emergency neonatal and obstetric care, prevention of malaria, diarrheal disease, HIV/AIDS, nutrition and immunization activities.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • MBBS with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in clinical care with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT in resource constrained settings.
  • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

5. The Technical Officer Prevention and Mitigation will assist in the provision of technical support to the implementing agencies in prevention and mitigation activities at the state level. This includes supporting the implementation of prevention activities (sexual and biomedical) and strategic behaviour change interventions, testing and counseling, home based care, orphans and vulnerable children and other community mobilization activities.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • MBBS with ito 3 years public health experience at the state or community level or in the private health sector.
  • Or MPH or MSc. with 3 to 5 years public health experience at the state or community level or in the private health sector.
  • BSc. in pharmacy, microbiology, health sciences, monitoring and evaluation, public health or in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years public health experience at the state or community level or in the private health sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in large and complex SBC/BCC mobilization activities in a donor (USAID, DFID, CIDA. etc.) funded national health-focused project.
  • HCT experience and ability to understand full range of issues around HCT.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

1. Gender Mentoring Specialist 1 Benue
2. Teacher Trainer/Education Specialist 1 Benue
3. Community Mobilization Specialist 1 Benue

1.) The Gender/Mentorlng Specialist will train and support a cadre of girls’ mentors in project schools. S/He will ensure that mentoring sessions in project schools are being executed as planned. The specialist will assist in the monthly report and work plan preparatIon; organize and execute mentor training workshop coordination; monitor and evaluate mentor training; research and provide support to the Project Officer and facilitate the creation and sustaining of girls mentoring sessions and prepare for additional activities of supporting secondary schools and implementing Internship and Vocational Training programs.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BSc. in International Development, Gender Studies, Social Science. Education or equivalent MSc. preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in the field of gender and education with expertise in girls education.
  • Experience in implementing gender strategies and programming preferably with youth
  • Experience in guidance and counseling, preferably career guidance
  • Must be able to provide three references from previous employment or university.


2.) The Teacher Trainer/EducatIon Specialist
 will be responsible for working closely with FHI 360 team members in Benue to implement the main objectives of the project: to improve the quality and relevance of girls’ education and boost retention rates for OVCs in select LGAs in Benue State. The Specialist is responsible for working closely with teachers, school officials, school administrators, and local education officials to ensure that teachers are trained in pedagogy, gender sensitivity, and other subjects, especially Math and Science, as needed. S/He will follow up with teachers in the classroom on a periodic basis to provide additional support to teachers’ use of methods learned during training.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BSc. in Education, or a HND in Teacher Training and/or Education
  • A relevant second degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, and other email systems
  • Must be able to provide three references from previous employment or university


3.) The Community Mobilization Specialist
 will be responsible for working closely with the FHI 360 team members in Benue State, to implement the main objectives of the project: to improve the quality and relevance of girls’ education and to boost retention rates for OVCs in selected LGAs of Benue State, Nigeria. S/He will be responsible for working closely WIth the school officials, school management committees, local education officials, local community leaders, beneficiaries’ parents/caretakers and other stakeholders to ensure that the project gains sustanable support within the community.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BSc./HND in sociology, social work or community development
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office Packages/Internet)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Must be able to provide three references from previous employment or University
